Character (Original Universe)
Name: DLN-001 Rock Light/Mega Man
Age: Physically 12-14 at least, which is also his mental/programed age, chronologically about 5
Gender: Male
Canon: Megaman Megamix/Gigamix
Canon Point: Two Months after “Towards a Brighter Tomorrow” (Gigamix Vol.3, Post Megaman 8 Game timeline wise)
History: http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Mega_Man_Megamix
http://megaman.wikia.com/wiki/Mega_Man_Gigamix
Personality:
In Megamix, Dr. Light and Dr. Wily both believed that as robots became more advanced, it would be best for the sake of both humans and robots if robots had the ability to decide for themselves how to use their power, so robots could be friends and partners to humans rather than tools. For this reason, they created robots with “souls;” Free will, emotions and their own personalities and moral codes. Of the Robot Master line, Rock is perhaps the shining example of the potential of this dream.
Rock was built to be a simple domestic helper robot, helping Dr. Light out in the lab as his assistant. He was also built to be a son of sorts to the aging scientist. Because of this, Rock has the basic personality of a boy of his apparent physical age (preteens to early teens) and shares his creator's pacifistic nature. However, when his younger brothers, the Light Numbers, six industrial robots Dr. Light created after completing Rock and his sister Roll, ended up going berserk mysteriously, it was quickly discovered he's got a fighter's spirit as well. As soon as it was shown that military wasn't going to be able to stop them, Rock immediately began to run off to stop them himself, and when Dr. Light reminded him that he wouldn't be able to do anything as a simple domestic helper robot, he didn't hesitate to ask Dr. Light to modify him into a combat robot. He felt it was his responsibility to stop them as their older brother, and since he knew something had to be wrong with them, he couldn't stand by while they needed his help. While he didn't enjoy having to fight his own brothers, he didn't let this slow him down. His determination to save his brothers and stop the chaos they were causing ultimately saw him through the fight despite his inexperience at the time.
Rock's family is very important to him and he will go to great lengths to protect them. This can sometimes lead him into trouble, as it nearly did in R Destruction Order when the government was going to have the Light Numbers retired for their part in Dr. Wily's schemes, even though they were reprogrammed at the time. He immediately ran out to try and save his siblings, even though it likely would've lead to him breaking the law and getting himself, Dr. Light and everyone else in trouble if the Second Numbers hadn't intercepted him. Beyond that, he also has a great amount of kindness and compassion for others. He strongly believes in the inherent goodness of others, both human and robot alike. This belief has been bolstered by all the times the Wily Numbers have been allies rather than enemies, even if they had other motives, like when he and the Light Numbers worked with Shadowman and the other Third Numbers in Metal Heart to fight the rogue Yellow Devil (an incident during which Shadowman saved Rock's life at one point), and when the Fifth Numbers intervened to protect and help the human civilians who were getting caught in the crossfire when Bass attacked Rock at the amusement park in Warrior's Day Off. This plus the fact that he's never done more damage to his opponents than is necessary to take them out of the fight and has never completely destroyed a fellow robot means that most of the Wily Numbers don't really hate him. They were just as happy to see him alive and well after he almost died fighting Terra during the Stardriods incident as his brothers and the Cossack Numbers.
Still, he has seen quite a bit of the less pleasant side of humanity, due to the racism that exists towards robots in his world. Not just the government nearly killing his brothers for something beyond their control, but also Dr. Cossack's treatment of Skullman as revealed in Grim Reaper of Resurrection, where Skullman wanted revenge against Cossack for locking him away because Skullman's nature as a pure combat robot went against Cossack's pacifistic philosophy. Robots don't have the same status as humans and despite possessing "souls," robot masters are still treated as disposable tools and are kept in line by the three laws of robotics. Then of course, there is aso Wily's continued attempts at world domination, which don't help matters, even if Wily himself seems to believe it's for the good of robotkind. It's apparent exactly how aware of this he is due to how Copy Rock, believing himself to be the real Rock and having his morals twisted by Wily's Evil Chip, felt that these reasons meant that true peace couldn't be achieved unless humanity was destroyed. However the real Rock told his copy when he confronted him that he believed that humans would eventually learn from their mistakes and that peace between humans and robots was still possible with time. He's a very optimistic and idealistic person, and no matter what he goes through, he never loses this trait. Protoman once tells Bass that the reason why he always wins against opponents stronger and more advanced than him is because he's fighting for everyone's futures. He wants more than anything a world where humans and robots can coexist and will fight to his last for to protect both humans and robots alike. This drive and determination even allowed him to ultimately defeat a robot that was about as a robot could get to being a physical god (his final fight with Sunstar in Towards a Brighter Tomorrow was pretty much solo).
Rock does have his flaws of course. He does start out as a bit naive closer to the beginning of the series, taking Wily's claim of turning over a new leaf at face value during Asteroid Blues, though unlike his game counterpart, he eventually grows out of it. He knew full well that it was Wily who forced him to enter the race in Battle and Chase and told Turbo Man that he knew that it was Wily under an anagram who'd entered him as well. Not to mention that he wasn't at all surprised by who Mr. X was. He's also a little too self sacrificing sometimes. When it turned out at the end of Metal Heart that the AI controlling the mother computer was responsible for creating the robot that Yellow Devil's computer brain originally belonged to, making her literally it's mother, he drained his own power core after the Mother Computer was knocked off line just so the other robot could meet it's mother after all (Which was a sweet if kind of dumb thing to do, honestly). Battle and Chase also gave an example of him missing things when he gets too focused on a goal, since he was so focused on reaching Roll that he didn't notice he was the only person getting rained on until it was pointed out to him (admittedly he was so focused on getting to Roll in the first place because her car had a bomb in it. See his actions during R Destruction Order on that one). For all the things he's gone through by the end of the manga, it's sometimes easy to forget that he's a five year old robot with the mind of a young teenager, but that there are still times when that aspect of him shines through.

To the other Heroes of Light;
It's really weird writing on paper like this. Writing letters isn't something people back home do a lot anymore. I don't think I've ever written one of these before myself. Of course I've never really needed to use email either.
Anyway, I guess I should get to the point. I just had a question for all of you. This is probably going to sound weird but, was anyone else here something other than human before they got brought to this place?
Sincerely,
Rock Light.
